Chana Bahar (she/her) is a New York City based dance artist from Chicago, IL. Currently in her final year at the Alvin Ailey/Fordham University BFA Program under the direction of Melanie Person and Tracy Inman, Chana previously trained with the Visceral Dance Chicago Studio Company under the direction of Nick Pupillo. She has furthered her training at intensives such as The School at Jacob’s Pillow, Orsolina 28, Gibney Company, Gallim, NW Dance Project, b12 Festival, GagaLab, and Ballets Jazz Montreal. Chana has worked with artists including Tamisha A. Guy, Florian Lochner and Alice Klock (FLOCK), James Finnemore, Kimberly Bartosik, Juliano Nunes, Jennifer Chin, and Fredrick Earl Mosely, and in 2022 was named the Mentoring Artists Chicago winner in dance.
